The Perfect Sunday Brunch

clippingSMLSunday has got to be my favorite day of the week. It usually involves; drinking a pot of English breakfast tea and reading the Sunday paper, or in today’s case the latest copy of The Mr Porter Post. But the real highlight of the day has to be Sunday Brunch.
For me it’s an excuse to dress up a little, meet a few friends and head the my favourite brunch place The Giant Robot.

Where apart from doing great food, they also make the best bloody Marys

So here is my idea of a perfect Sunday brunch outfit. Its cool, casual smart and as it’s still freezing outside bound to keep me a little warm.

Chinos are my go to trousers when I want to dress casual smart without having to resort to wearing a pair of jeans. These Brown Skinny chinos in brown and burgundy check by Topman, are extremely subtle and very relaxed. And I’m in love with the subtle checked print.

Team it with this navy long sleeve polo with Jacquard pattern detail from the Topman Ltd Edition label. Already I can see myself wearing this with different outfits.

As its still pretty cold outside, add this Navy Merino Wool Blazer from Reiss. Extremely warm and very cozy a must have staple piece for a casual smart look.

Finally the pièce de résistance has to be these fabulous Silas Suede Desert boots by Grenson. Extremely versatile.  One tip to remember always makes sure that sole of your desert boots are made of leather and not rubber. They will last much longer and will be a long-term investment. Available from

So there you have a simple, casual yet smart outfit for the perfect Sunday Brunch. Have a great Sunday.
