Metallic the subtle way

peopleSMLThe last few years menswear has begun to take a lot more risks.  It’s slowly becoming stronger, bold, outspoken and of course it’s definitely making a statement.
Nothing has caused more of a stir than Lanvin, Versace, Margiela, Neil Barrett and Burberry’s use of Metallic this season.

Understandably the use of metallic in the majority of these outfits has been a little over the top. And not all men are willing to walk the streets of London dressed head to toe in metallic. In fact they need something that is a little subtle.

So why not try my subtle looks, which all incorporate the metallic trend.

I love the brand Blood Brother, especially this silver bomber jacket. Team it with a pair of black sweat pants, plain white t-shirt and grey high top trainers. Perfect for the gym

For a more relaxed looked try this metallic pink sweater by Marc Jacob, which would look perfect with a pair of tailored cream shorts and loafers.

All women have that perfect LBD hanging in their wardrobes, and men should have that perfect black suit or tux. So why not wear that black suit, with a crisp white shirt and these gorgeous silver brogues by Thom Browne.

For an everyday look try team this metallic leather gold belt by Topman Ltd, with a pair of slim fit dark denim and a slim fit navy polo shirt.

And if you are feeling a little brave like myself this Blue metallic slim fit shirt by Burberry would be perfect for the office. Dress it with a plain black tie, and grey fitted trousers and blazer.

But my favorite metallic piece has to be this metallic blue iPad case again by Burberry. This I’m planning on carrying around with me all summer.

Regardless of how you feel about metallic, it’s definitely here to stay.
